The Greek islands in general may often be overshadowed by Santorini. The name has set its roots in many a visitor’s imagination as one of the most spectacular islands in Greece, and with good reasons. Even before visiting the island, many visitors already have an idea of what to expect, but struck back to discover so much more.

One thing is for sure. You will never be a lone visitor in Santorini during the summer months, but it’s definitely worth the visit. The island has some great historical sites dating back to Minoan times, and you will never be short of day excursions on this magnificent Aegean island. The community has also transformed itself through the influx of overseas visitors, providing the finest culinary treats, affluent art scene, wineries of significant stature and shopping experiences in Oia being one of the spectacular villages in the world.
