Shalom Luxury Guesthouse

Shalom is a chic and elegant Luxury Guesthouse located at Kondilaki Street in the heart of the old town of Chania, Crete’s second largest city. The Guesthouse which went through a complete renovation in 2015 was named after the Beth Shalom Synagogue which was destroyed during the bombardments of the 1941 war.

Shalom is ideally located if you are looking for a Guesthouse located centrally in the old town of Chania. A car will not be necessary if you are planning to spend your holidays around the city. Everything is within walking or cycling distance from Shalom, including the beach of Nea Chora. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, grocery stores, gift shops for everything you might need within arm’s reach including a large supermarket for a lot more than the essentials just outside the wall of the old town. Also, Shalom is ideal in case you wish to have some late night outs in the numerous ambient café bars and restaurants of the old town without getting worried about returning home. Etz Hayyim Synagogue, the only remaining synagogue in Chania, is a few steps away from Shalom, while the Archaeological Museum of Chania, the Art Gallery and the Mosque of Kioutsouk Hassan are all located very close to our Guesthouse.

 
 

Shalom Luxury Guesthouse consists of 4 tastefully decorated, spacious and contemporary rooms and it is ideal for young at heart couples wishing to spend their holidays centrally, in a hotel full of character.

The king Room is located on the ground floor of the back alley of Kondylaki Street with its own entrance, can accommodate up to 2 Guests and it is suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Two rooms on the middle floor the Deluxe Double Room No1 with a balcony on Kondylaki Street and No2 with a balcony on the back alley of Kondylaki Street that can accommodate 2 Guests each.

A spacious Junior Suite, Shalom’s largest room, located on the top floor with a large double bed and a large balcony with beautiful view on the back alley of Kondylaki Street.

Around Kondylaki Street there is a beautiful labyrinth of little cobbled streets and alleys that creates a unique ambient atmosphere and leads to an impressive harbor with the characteristic lighthouse, Chania’s long – standing emblem. Numerous restored Venetian townhouses have been converted into boutique hotels full of character while partly restored roofless Venetian buildings house sophisticated restaurants and elegant bars, creating an unspeakable charm under the starry summer sky of Crete. Shalom Guesthouse is open throughout the year so whether you choose to visit Chania in the summer or the winter time you will be overwhelmed by the charm of the city.
