A magical sunset, the last of April, as captured from the mountains above Souda Bay with the sun setting behind the Gramvousa Peninsula at the far end of the horizon. The best epilogue to a fruitful day full of wanders, full of discoveries at the ancient city of Aptera, one of the most important city-states of Minoan Crete. In Greece when people want to say the sun is setting they actually say the "the sun reigns". The initial use of the verb in the past tense means "ruled by the sun", i.e. that something has elapsed (or its reign ended). In other words, we might say that the Greece is ruled by the sun every day and even when its reign comes to an end, magic is spread in the air with myriad of colours exploding on the sky.
