The cozy little sandy beach of Tersanas is located only 13 km from the picturesque town of Chania and 8 km from the airport. Tersanas is a great option for families with young children thanks to its turquoise shallow and clam waters, the shaded areas under the large tamarisk trees, the facilities (showers, umbrellas, sunbeds, etc.) and its ‘compact’ size. When it comes to a family day on the beach, nothing could be more important than children’s entertainment and safety. For the parents, there is a small beach bar literally on the water where they can sit and enjoy cold drinks and snacks without losing their children from their sight due to the size of the beach. During the weekends, especially in August, the beach might become a bit busy due to its increased popularity among families.
