Accommodation Terms & Conditions

Alargo do not believe in hiding the "small print", often referred to as Terms and Conditions, so please familiarise yourselves with the below text to feel reassured about our services and liability.

By using our website and the services ‘alargo’ provides, you agree to the terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you must refrain from using the website and the services. Your contract is with Alargo AS, registered in Norway under the trading name of ‘alargo’, Company Registration Number: 912 060 349. is operated by Alargo AS, also known as "alargo”, "Alargo”, “we”, “us” and “our".

It is important that you read the information in our accompanying literature carefully (as reproduced on our website) and check the details confirmed back to you at the time of booking, as this form the basis of your contract. And remember when you tick the box ‘I have read and agreed the Terms & Conditions’, you agree to the following conditions. In other words, your contract with Alargo is bound by the ‘Terms & Conditions’ at the time of booking.

Our Payment Policy

Once you reserve a villa or other accommodation online with us, a minimum deposit of 30% is due at the time of booking. The remainder of the balance must be paid in full no later than 60 days before arrival. For “late bookings” the full amount will be requested at the time of booking. Late bookings are considered bookings made less than 60 days prior to arrival. For details, please refer to the table below:

When reserving your accommodation, you will be given two options for paying the deposit and the remaining balance of your rental.

a. Online payment by credit card.

b. Bank transfer to our account.

As we provide confirmed online bookings and online requests, please note that Online bookings confirmations are always instant. Your deposit is charged from the credit card right away and the reservation is considered confirmed.

For online requests your credit card will only be charged after the villa or hotel owner has accepted the request. When payment is processed, the reservation is considered confirmed. Hence, the status of your payment is what makes a reservation confirmed. Alargo will only charge your credit card once a villa or hotel booking is confirmed. We will also email you with a booking confirmation, reference number and information regarding the accommodation for each confirmed booking made though Alargo.

Credit card charges

If you use a credit card to make payments, we will add a fee of 2% which will be added at the payment stage. The fee is capped at €50.00 for each transaction using Visa or MasterCard.

Our Cancellation Policy

We have the following cancellation policy and fees in place, always in accordance with our Payment Policy:

* If you cancel your reservation 120 days or over before the check in, a 10% fee from the total cost will occur.

* If you cancel your reservation 119 – 80 days before the check in, a 15% fee from the total cost will occur.

* If you cancel your reservation 79- 60 days before the check in, a 20% fee from the total cost will occur.

* If you cancel your reservation 59 – 45 days before the check in, a 50% fee from the total cost will occur.

* If you cancel your reservation 44 or less days before the check in, you will be charged the full amount and there will be no refund.

Any third party charges upon refunding would be passed onto you (e.g. bank transfer charges). All refunds will be paid within 5 working days, counting from the next working day of the cancellation. Please also note that all cancellations must be made only in writing (email) or online through your profile at, unless they occur due to no payments within the agreed time frames.

Cancellations made prior to receiving a booking confirmation do not incur any fees.

Travel Insurance

For your peace of mind and to cover you from every eventuality, we recommend all guests to have comprehensive travel insurance.

Damage Deposits

Please make sure that there is no damage, breakage, missing items, no additional cleaning for villas or hotel rooms left abnormally dirty, long distance calls charged to the villas’/hotels’ telephone and no other outstanding charges upon check out. You, as the guest, agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure that your guests or families adhere to the rules and regulations affecting your property. All villas/hotels are fully furnished, including a plentiful supply of bed linens and towels for guests’ use. Rearranging the furniture or removing any items from the villa is strictly prohibited. Please note that holiday properties have different rules.

Alargo will be providing all rules in writing to you along with our terms and conditions once accepting ‘I have read and agreed the alargo Terms & Conditions’ check box. If a property owner / manager reports to us damage, breakage, missing items, villas left abnormally dirty, long distance calls charged to the villas telephone etc., Alargo reserves the right to provide the property owner with your contact details in order to resolve the issue directly.

Check-in and Check-out Times

The check-in and check-out times will be provided on your confirmation, as every villa or hotel has its own check-in and check-out policies.


Alargo acts as an agent for villa and hotel accommodation and does not assume any liability for personal or property loss and damage or injury during guests' occupancy of their villa or hotel. Guests are responsible for their accommodation during occupancy, must lock windows and doors securely at all times when not on the premises, and must exercise due care in securing all personal property. All villas and hotels are privately owned. The villa owner and Alargo reserve the right to refuse service or rentals to anyone at their discretion.


Pets of any kind are not allowed in the accommodation provided by Alargo, unless stated otherwise.


All villas / hotels are cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival. Some villas also include a mid-week cleaning service. Every holiday property has a different cleaning policy. Details about cleaning will be included in your voucher.

Complaints & Maintenance

In case of maintenance problems at your holiday property, the guests shall notify the villa owner or our local representative (where applicable, indicated in you voucher), who will strive to repair the problem as soon as possible. No refund or rate adjustment will be made for unforeseen mechanical failures such as the supply of electricity, telephone service, water, pool filtration systems, hot tubs, air conditioning, television or cable service, appliances etc. It is the guest's obligation to report any problems or damage to their villa / hotel immediately.

Special functions

Alargo wishes to maintain a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of guests. We rent to family groups and responsible adults and couples only! Special functions such as weddings are allowed, but only with written permission from the villa or hotel owners. Guests shall be respectfully quiet and peaceful, so as not to disturb the local residents in the area.

Cancellation or Alteration by us

In the highly unlikely event accommodation cannot be made available, be out of order or deemed substandard prior to your arrival, Alargo reserves the right to provide you with substitute comparable or better accommodation without liability. If a comparable alternative cannot be made available, guests may wish to receive a complete refund of the rental cost only for the accommodation. Alargo will only be liable for accommodation and services booked through and cannot bear responsibility for other arrangements or services booked separately in connection to your stay.

Number of guests

Please respect the maximum number of guests allowed in each property.


Alargo is not responsible for inadvertent errors on our website. All rates and accommodation details are subject to change without prior notice.

Your use of the Alargo website

You should only use if you can form a legally binding contract that is enforceable against you and must be at least 18 years of age.

You also agree to provide us with complete, accurate and current information when reserving or booking accommodation through us. We will only use and store your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right at our discretion to end, or decline to provide you with any or all of the services we offer at any time, without entering further discussions with you. Any such refusal or termination shall not affect any right or remedy to which Alargo may be entitled.

You acknowledge that Alargo will send you emails and (if agreed by you) SMS relating to your transactions and other activities on the website.

You may also agree to regular Alargo newsletters to be sent electronically, and you can opt out of receiving them at any time.

So, our services…

We put villa owners and hoteliers ("owners") in touch with short term holiday renters ("renters"). Our ‘Online Booking Service’ is not for the use of long term renters though or those looking for permanent accommodation. We provide long – term rentals only by case and only on demand. Please contact us for further details and we will be happy to help.

Force Majeure

Alargo has no liability for any lack of performance, unavailability or failure of any services or the alargo website, or for any failure of Alargo to comply with these terms and conditions where the same arises from any cause reasonably beyond the control of Alargo.

No Waiver

If we do not exercise or enforce any right available to us under these terms and conditions, it does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Partial Invalidity

If any provision of these terms and conditions becomes or is held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, and in any respect, that provision shall be severed from the remaining terms and conditions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Norway, where our company is based.

Alargo Property Rights

Alargo AS owns all rights in relation to the website (such as; text, graphics, logos, icons) and the booking software and other material underlying and forming part of the services and the website. You may not without our prior written permission, in any form or by any means: adapt, reproduce, copy, store, distribute, print, display, perform, publish or create derivative works from any part of this website; or commercialize, copy, or on-sell any information, or items obtained from any part of this website.
